Short, tantalizing video of the first run of the Tesla CD Turbine. It lives!

Here it is running on free energy from a garden hose!
More to come ...can the CD turbine produce power? Will the Skilsaw Attachment stay magnetically connected ? Will my arm stay connected????

Check back for latest videos in this series...first one is "Running the Tesla CD Turbine On Water", where I get the Skilsaw blade to rotate!

Next video is "Running the Tesla CD Turbine With Skilsaw Attachment", on 120 psi air, where a real risk of danger exists as I run screaming to shut down the rapidly spinning blade!

  • Free energy from a garden hose huh?

  • I can get about a watt out of the faucet with a CD Turbine. New video, about to be released, will show charging a AA battery with a Subaru fan electric motor, hooked up to the CD Turbine at the sink.

  • I like the turbine idea (cool using the CD container as the housing), i was just wondering if you really thought your garden hose or faucet is free energy, because it's not.

What kind of generator are you using the turbine to turn? Just running a DC motor in reverse or did you make your own alternator or generator?

  • Most folks don't realize that power can be extracted from faucet water pressure and still be able to use the water for most purposes. I can fill a sink and light a 3-LED light at the same time, which seems to me like free energy.

I have used a crank-type generator for a head lamp, and also a Subaru radiator fan motor. I've experimented a bit with coils of wire above the rotating magnets of the turbine, but it would require multiple coils in series to get serious voltages.

  • lol.. wet it is..:)

  • Yes, this was before I sealed the case with hot-glue!

  • Ah ok yea in that case if your making power while your use the water for another reason then I could see that being called free energy. As for out put, you could try rectifying the, I'm guessing, 3 phase AC output to DC then filter it and send it into a Joule Thief. That would pump up the voltage a bit and might give you a way of charging a small battery or super cap that you could then use for lighting later.

I like the idea you have, good job with it.

  • well.. the materials are extremely cheap and that's not their original use... but hey, the original design was made to run on water..
