@ghostwise You'll have to ask someone wiser than me. Maybe it has something to do with all the deserts in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Or maybe there were just too many gators in Florida. The gators and panthers maybe ate them all.

@ghostwise No, not really. I just wondered if you knew of him. Your painting reminds me of him a bit. I love that style of abstract painting. I've never seen a Scully painting in person, only in books. Same with Rothko. I keep telling myself that some day I have to go to New York and visit all the galleries. Maybe someday ...... Anyway, keep painting!

@carbert68 I know Sean Scully from a DVD I have about Mark Rothko called Rothko's Rooms. I've also watched a few videos of him on YouTube. Though I'm not super familiar with his art. I think I watched one video once that showed some of his work. Any pieces in particular that I should check out?

I found the following on a website: "There are no indigenous living non-human primates in the USA or Canada. However, the Geoffroy's spider monkey (Ateles geoffroyi) is found in northeast Mexico and on the west coast of Mexico to Panama. The Mexican howler monkey (Alouatta pigra) and mantled howler (A. palliata) also live in Mexico." So, there you go. I did not know this either. I imagine the reason they don't live in the U.S. is because there really aren't any jungles, right?

@carbert68 Thanks for the research work! :) Of course the first suggested video next to this one is showing someone feeding a howler monkey in Mexico!
Isn't there enough jungle like conditions in Florida for Monkeys to thrive? How come monkeys don't live in a rain forest like the ones found on the West coast of North America?
