As if in response to a recent fund raiser for Mau squatters at a Nairobi hotel, prime minister Raila Odinga took his battle for supremacy in ODM to Mombasa where he too unveiled his team for the 2012 elections. Present were 15 cabinet ministers and several MPs who called for the sacking of agriculture minister William Ruto and his tourism counterpart Najib Balala. It was a show of might by Raila who was in Najib Balalas home turf and as Robert Nagila reports, the prime minister is still extending an olive branch to the ODM rebels.

Ruto and Balala do not know what inhumane evictions are. We have seen inhumane evections in the past in Enoosupukia, Aberdare Mt Elgon and Embobut forests. People from the Mau were not kicked out. They left voluntarily.

Now Ruto and Balala should think of a better excuse to fight the party. THey will soon realize that they have little support from anyone. And Kalonzo or Uhuru will have no use for them with such little support
