This is a speed run for ActRaiser on the Super Nintendo. I did not do this speed run. I got it from www.speeddemosarchive.com. I got it for all those ActRaiser fans out there, and non-fans alike. So please don't accuse me of copyright infringement, or plagiarism. Enjoy.

  • I miss when Square games were actually heavily fantasy based and not this technology-and-magic-in-harmony bullshit they're doing with Final Fantasy.

    Also I miss when Square games were actually good.

  • Can I beat the king before he transformes into wofl?

  • @themadmallard Yes, I think we're both aware of that: Sure, the original Final Fantasy had a War-Mech and an Airship; Final Fantasy II(IV) had the Tower/Giant of Bab-il,a Hovercraft, Airship and a Giant Whale that took you to the moon; Secret of Mana had a Mech Rider and the Mana Fortress but they also had castles, small towns, and "primitive" weapons.

    There's a difference between a little bit of technology mixed in a Medieval setting and a game that is purely "new age." Gun-Sword? Yikes.

  • @AceAileron

    @Krikilrath

    ...do you guys realise that in the first Final Fantasy in 1987, you climb a tower, use a transporter to go into a space station, and fight a nuclear powered mech/robot? And fly around in a steam-punkish airship with propellers?

    Square games after Rad Racer pretty much ALWAYS had at least a little high-technology angle. So has almost every MANA game and SAGA/ Final Fantasy Legend game. ;p

  • @AceAileron Sigh..total grammar fail on the above post. You get my point, however.

  • @Krikilrath Yeah. Though you bring up a good point. Square and Enix merged in 2003 but look at what games were put out prior to then:

    Square: Really has too many good games to list. I think to get a grasp of all their amazing times, look at all the games that were put out prior to 1997. You had some great games between '97-2003 but their best came out in the mid 90's.

    Enix had this, Illusion of Gaia, Soul Blazer, Ogre Battle, 7th Saga, Paladin's Quest, Brain Lord, Robotrek, etc.

    Sigh.

  • You're right. It was actually Enix, before they merged with Squaresoft.

    My bad.

  • I agree, but I don't think this game is Square.

  • magical stardust is the bomb

  • You can spend the seven dollars this game more than deserves and download it from the Wii Virtual Console.
