Fatal Frame 2 playable on pcsx2

On official build 0.9.6 Fatal Frame 2 isn't playable (game doesn't proceed to gameplay).

On unofficial build revision 2650 the game is very playable. The game looks great, but the video recording program I used outputs the video in bad quality (I didn't use Fraps). The game also plays the whole cutscene, but I only showed a few seconds worth of cutscene to make the video shorter. No speedhacks or special configurations used.

Please only use ISOs ripped/extracted from a ps2 disc that you own.

I don't want to post any links, but it's easy to find revision 2650 =]

My computer specifications running this game:
phenom II x2 550 (unlocked to quad core, running at 3.1 ghz)
2 gb ddr3 ram
1 gb radeon hd 5770 (factory overclocked)
windows 7 64-bit

Hey I need to ask something. What do you mean please use your own disc? If I had fatal frame genuine disc I would have a ps2 too so I wouldnt need an emulator. Cant I just download the game from net? as well as plugins and bios?

@06DaniFilth Even if you have the genuine disc and a ps2, there's still use for an emulator. I personally haven't experienced it, but some say it improves the graphics of the game. You could also rip the game off of a disc and run it as a dvd image file, this would then help preserve your discs if you're a collector. Regarding your last question, I'm sure there's sites out there where you can download it. =]

i think it's a caused by many things.

- ps2 wasn't known to be a graphically powerful console

- fatal frame series never had "god of war" graphics

- i recorded the gameplay using "snagit" and I heard it's not as good as fraps

- uploading on youtube decreases the video quality

@suchAnoob not yet i think im gonna buy magic swap and play it on my real ps2 but i'll try the new beta first. xD
