A typical Sunday dinner my Italian born, American raised mother creates, and always on Sunday!!! Pasta, tomato sauce, and meat (chicken, steak, meatballs or sausage). Homemade and simple.

Often on holidays, everyone is eating, and talking at the same time, laughing, arguing, trying to get a word in, a swirl of voices, et. cetera.
My mother was born in Parma, and came here when she was 9 months old, so she's more American than Italian, except in cooking.

Similar to my mother in law's cooking.
She came over to united States when she was 18 years old from Napoli and married to Italian American.
my husband family, when they get together they all talk at same time and no one is listning. Is your family too?
