  • Hi i really enjoyed your video, i wished i had watched it before taking apart my ipod and causing a mess. I have a problem, i wanted to replace the battery of my ipod mini and ended up not disconnecting the connector from the bottom and it came off the cable. I dont know what to do now cos the ipod is acting up. can i solder the connector back to the brown cable? I really need help fast. Thanks

  • @chiboi56 - No, you can't solder the cable back together.

  • @chiboi56 - You'll have to replace the part to fix it.

  • my ipod won't turn on at all. if i do connect it to my pc, itunes tells me to restore it every time. is this a hard drive issue? please help :/ i miss my mini

  • @meepowmee - It's likely the logic board in which case you're better off buying a replacement iPod.

  • i took everything apart and tried to push out the board, but it will not move at all. is there something holding it in that is not on the video

  • @Klimerts

you can but i dont recommand it because does ipods dont like it when u change the battery !

    they just go bad !

  • what to do with my mini?

a friend of mine gave it to me and it doesn't charge or power on

  • @chiboi56 if you are still looking to replace your mini, go on eBay and buy a new one. If your logic board is dead then it's cheaper to buy a replacement mini. However, you can remove the hdd from your current mini and put it into your "new" mini if you want to hold onto all of your data.

  • I have iPod mini 1st generation silver, which battery lasts 8 hours. Can I replace the battery from the 2nd gen. of iPod mini so it lasts 18????

  • @PowerbookMedic so what do you suggest i do?
