Rotterdam has a huge port, the largest in Europe. Amongst seamen, it's notoriously slow, as the automated robot container delivery system is prone to crashing. Some of the cranes and the trucks aren't controlled by human beings.

  • my job.. i am Ship Planner..Planning contr on vessel before sent it to the terminal..

  • hi there,, are you a captain of containerships 5-8 ? the finnish real containerships?? .... i work for containerships in the kotka terminal i have a couple of crappy vids from there,.

  • Dutch masters

  • Yes..very cool..but very slowly too. 40 secs for one container?? in other "normal" port are more fast..¿this is the future? xdddd

  • There drivers that can do 40 with that crane, only not that crane driver .

  • Maybe the middle class should try to move forward? Or should we forbid planes in order to get more seaman jobs? Or go back to coal trains so people could get the coal job?

That's why companies in many countries either have to or have economical interest in further education of the employees.

  • Id like to see that slow ass crane do forty moves an hour.

    btw

On the larger ships bays are 16 across, maybe 5,6 or 7 high. and thats just for ondeck, underdeck can hold over a hundred containers.

a whole ship over a thousand containers. a Loaded container weighing in at 30tons as a max load. Most containers shipped out are empties while most shipped in are loads.

  • This is so creepy to watch. This is the forefront of mechanization and if brought to the united states would eliminate middle class american jobs by the thousands.

although this may be "cool" it is a threat to middle class america and a great advancement to upperclass, thus dividing the rich and poor even more.

"An Injury To One, Is An Injury To All."

  • i meant 10 tiers.

    not rows.

am a captain on container ships.
