I think I may have this, my parents think I'm lazy, but it takes me a few days to do laundry! I start it get distracted, then someone asks me about it, but again I get distracted, so at some point I remember and re-wash it with full intent to move it to the dryer this time, but I get distracted again and finally either I need to do more laundry, or someone moves it for me. And it takes a similar cycle to get it from the dryer to my closet, not folded or organized.

Man.... it feels like I have these symptoms, but the symptoms seem exactly like normal everyday things that even people without any type of diagnosis may routinely have. But I do feel like I cant get any tasks done here and there, but I am not sure if I am actually LAZY per se, or do I really have a disorder.
Im speculating but can it also possibly be that the pharmaceutical companies want to make money and promote diagnosing everyone while sticking some money in the pockets of physicians?

So what do you do if you think you have ADD/ADHD ?

I don't usually pour my heart out on you tube or any through my tube for any matter, but seriously i have to share this ill fated story with you. Last Christmas holiday, i been planning to revise at home, tried to do couple of assignments, to get ahead and be one of the elite students. Ironically, i did not get one of them done, even though i was pushing myself, this distraction was a killer. So i figured out my own enemy is me. I tried the library but .. since... continued above ^

@TheMarianna007 that is how i am. i'm 19 and i just started college.... this has been so hard for me, worse than college (well obviously...) but with all the reading i have to do i get very discouraged. Having to re read lines over and over, and then if i do finally get over my discouragement, i find that i can hardly remember what i just read...but i'm am exactly the same in the things you listed. :( when i mention ADD as the possible problem it's ignored.

look into mindfulness meditation. centering the mind is what add people lack. our minds float all over the place. learning how to center and clear your thoughts really can help. i've also focusing on one hobby, or one task in general, helps you become more productive since an add mind is hard to center and channel.
