Never posted a comment on youtube before but I just want to make sure people realize this is far from proper form. Split jerks or cleans should finish in the lunging position. You do not start with a squat; just a very quick dip to initiate the momentum then fall under the weight with the split(lunging position). And if you are going to squat, you should be squatting back into your heels. You should be able to wiggle your toes at the bottom of your squat.

I realize your supposed to bend your knees to perform the exercise otherwise how would you squat down lol? But your knees are not supposed to pass your toes or you are placing unnecessary strain on your knee joint.

I usually don't say things like this, but that may be the worst form on a split jerk I've ever seen. One GLARING problem is the knees passing the toes when you squat down. Other things like your mechanics on lifting are a little off.

Not sure what your talking about, this is a core exercise that relies on having your knees bent to generate the needed force.
