I literally can not believe how many people missed the point of this video. I am not even going to bother trying to explain it to those that just post angry comments for no reason right now. I never thought the concept of this video was so lofty that clearly so many people missed it. Do any of you that post angry comments for no reason even read what you write?

And you wonder why politicians sell you out every day? Look at they way people turn on each other and pick fights for literally no reason. Many people cant even make their point without insulting other people here. How disgusting. Just read the comments if you dont believe me.

This was a pretty simple straightforward video and so many people are just losing their mind over it. People always say they want peace; yeah we are a LONG way from that with this kind of nonsense all around us. So many people are just looking for a fight with someone for even the smallest reason.

So now that some of you have hurled insults all over the place, do you feel better now? Did that solve anything? No! It didnt. All you did was alienate other people with your anger and ignorance. Well Done! Maybe some day people will learn to respectfully make their point without throwing a tantrum like a 4 year old that just had their lollypop ripped from their hands.

If you clicked on this video because you saw a flag being burned, and you thought this was some sort of anti American video, then I have a surprise for you.

This video is dedicated to all of the plastic patriots that think by simply sticking a small flag on their car antenna or a sticker on their bumper somehow makes them patriotic. If you're going to think that an act of symbolism makes you patriotic, then you should at least know the rules of that symbol.

Originally I was going to recite all of the flag rules, but for the sake of time and continuity, I will cover the rules that I see most often violated by these so called patriots.

Firstly, the flag is NOT to be used as an advertisement. It is NOT to be written on, or have ANY symbols placed on it. It is not to be printed on napkins, paper plates or any object that is designed to be quickly discarded.

For those of you who wish that burning the flag would be made illegal, keep in mind that the flag IS supposed to be burned when it becomes old or worn out.

When it is displayed on a car, boat, train or any other vehicle, it is NOT to be draped over the hood, the sides or back of the vehicle. It is to be flown from a staff that is secured to the chassis, or clamped to the right fender.

It is NOT to be painted on the sides of things like trash receptacles or dumpsters, or to be used as a container of any kind. It is also NOT to be wrapped around a person. These things are all just as disrespectful as it would be to put it on the floor and walk on it.

Personally, I don't care what you do with it because I don't think waving a piece of cloth is what defines a persons patriotism. Patriotism has to do with upholding the laws of the constitution and the ideals of the preamble and the declaration of independence. Patriotism is not blindly following your temporarily appointed government managers, that is called Nationalism.

it's a flag..... there are probably millions of them in the u.s.
people overreact over the tiniest issues . they aren't life-changing or life-threatnening and they still make a big deal out of it. im come on get over it. move on with your life.

@UConnLibertarians: Yes. It's just a piece of cloth. My patriotism is made of more than emptily paraded symbols and jingoistic slogans. No one nation compells my care and concern as much as the good of all mankind. When this species has the power to *END* all life on earth when zealous and "patriotic" men who owe more to the notion of fascicm then freedom control the mechanism by which it can be accomplised, flags mean very little. Do not let symbols blind you to what they symbolize!

@UConnLibertarians: I can forgive you if you never studied much American history. Those are terms for people who only pay lip service to ideas of helping their country out. They were used in the 1700's by the founders of the United States of America and many who knew what the costs of defending their freedom truly was. Ask before concluding someone is stupid. Ignorance is easily cured.

For my family when we see this flag it meant for us to get out there. We could come here and goto schools and get better jobs. You into Gunag province they try to hide American flags and newspapers make fake stories about west. So for you it dont mean nothing but for me it does.
