Man, you have describe an aggrevating condition I've had all my life. It's called Pseudofolliculitis barbae. At 61, it's is better than when I was in my 20's and 30's. For what it's worth, I'm white and my uncle had it also.

I am a black man too and the hair bumps you get from shaving are so irritating and evil! That is why I would just grow a light beard and trim it up. Then just use warm water and your favorite acne wash. However it's not all that bad. Imagine if you did not have to ability to grow any hair on your whole entire face. Don't worry brother. It will get better.

I got tired of shaving and having these bumps at times. but if you let your beard grow, your bumps will go away; believe me, they're go away.

I know the feeling. I am going to try the razor again after 25 years. The Magic Shave in the blue can I can't find in my area anymore. I am going to try the pre wash with warm water, shave with the grain, and just hope and pray I make it through. Also, Magic Shave works, but I am just tired of all the prep and the smell. I know 25 years ago, I did not shave properly but I am hoping with age and knowledge this time will be different wish me luck.
