Balloon Lift-Off at Hillsboro

From the Saturday morning ascension.
The challenge was in capturing whatever video and photos possible of only a dozen balloons on a small field with an overcast sky diffusing what light there was from the rising sun.
With almost no wind, pilots began to inflate and lift-off at will immediately following the weather briefing. I left my car with camera at the ready, removing the lens-cap and careful not to trip over anything or bump into anyone -- also staying out of the way of departing chase teams!
This result is edited together from "usable" clips -- and yes, you'll notice some jumpy bits -- just blame the operator (me!). A PLUS is some GREAT footage of burner flame (pyro alert!). An additional plus -- since there was little wind, the balloons were easy to chase for additional video/photo shots. As usual, photos are posted in another location (see profile page or home page). I never realised that most of the balloons over in the states have triangular baskets! That's really awesome! O_O Another fantastic video masterpiece!

Very, very cool! Very serene also (of course... except for the pyro shot - nice one there! :)) I've never heard that song used so appropriately - a song I've heard maaany times... :)
