I will explain what the question "Are you crucified?" means.

In Gal 2:20, The Apostle Paul said something profound, some thing that anyone who loves Jesus should stop to consider on a spiritual level.

Paul said, "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."

I want people to see what happend to Jesus in it's most accurate detail, then take a long hard look at themselves, to ask one of the hardest questions one could ask in their spirituality, "Am I curcified with Christ?"

Even to cross referance earlyer back, Paul, instructing to the readers of his teaching in Romans 6:5-6 said,
"5 - For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his (Jesus) death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 - Knowing this, That our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that hencefourth we should not serve sin."

3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, TRULY, TRULY, I say unto thee, Except a man be born from above, he cannot SEE the Kingdom of God.
3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water (human) and then (later) is born from above as his spirit-Being (his REAL self which is NOT human), he can NOT enter into the Kingdom of God (Who Himself is a Spirit-Being).
3:6 That which is born of the flesh is human; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit (a spirit-Being) - (human+Being).
3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

  • It actaully makes me wonder. If the Jesus we're familiar with in our world had to die for the "supposed" salvation of mankind? Then would that very same philosophical belief be the same on planets in space who are Aliens similar to humans. Would they need someone to die for them as well? Or would those extraterrestrial lifeforms follow a completely different set of moral and ethical laws than humans to the extent that they wouldn't need someone to die for them? To many questions, so few answers.

  • He did not die for the salvation of mankind, he was the divine example set to mankind, everyone must be like him, "I am the way" the spirit of Christ-love/compassion/kindness for redemption. Only the church confuses the truth and mixes it with falsehoods. This planet is the only hellhole that needs redeeming, noone else in the universe is so ignorant and stupid as us humans.

  • Wow, I checked out your site, and man do you have it all wrong!

The sleeper awakening refers to the Fremen people.

Dune is about a man playing God, it's not about Jesus. The Bene Gesserits manipulated entire populations into believing various religions, for their own purposes. They did it so that the general populace remained docile and obedient, and so that they could further manipulate them, should they need to. This is why Paul was their Lisan al Gaib

You, my friend, are being manipulated.

  • Thank you for your comment, I will think on it.

  • Of course Frank Herbert's point was not to lead people to Jesus. The author if this piece is simply pointing out the parallels of the movie with the biblical Jesus.

Blake: nicely done; I love this movie and of course in my mind, as a person of faith, can't help but draw parallels, unintentional though they were.

  • Thank you mowriter, my thought also.

  • This would've been better without the biblical excerpts. It's not necessary.

  • by the way your using an atheist point of view in a religious context ,

  • Well that's alot of typing hope it doesn't seem like too much, but that is according to the Gospels. I love Dune too so much, all its amazingness, the deep symbolism, and Toto! ;) Jung is fantastic too, talks about the deep things inside us, things all humanity deals with. We are all so much more alike than different. Your seeking is wonderful my friend, but we must be seekers of the Truth. For the Lord Said I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life :) God Bless you and His Mercy and Love on us all!

  • That is why God being perfect was unified with man first as Jesus, doing all that needed to be done. He Loves us so much He does not want anyone to be without that Hope, He loves us too much to have any one who wants to be with Him not be able to be. So He did it all himself. That is why Jesus is So awesome.

  • Perfect peace for eternity is not easy. It is almost like chaos theory and when forever is the timeframe, any problem of anything will come up. That is why all sin must be removed from the way. We have a choice, whether we will hold on to our sins as they are removed, or whether we will let them go and be freed to union with God. God is perfect and pure, He has to be to run everything, we can't even imagine the focus that must take. To be Unified with Him we must be perfect.

  • " But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God." John 3:21 God came as Jesus so that all of our sins could be will be taken away for any who want and accept the sacrifice and gift, so that when we leave this life and move on we have no burdens to carry with us. The reason purity and perfection is so important is that it took only one bad being to mess everything up from the beginning.

  • " Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed." The Gospel of John 3:18-20 and...

  • The Point of Jesus coming is mankind needs help, we all do. I believe we can all agree on that. God's Love brings us home to peace and eternal life in Heaven with Him, " The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!" John 1:29 If you want something done right, do it yourself, " ' I have seen and I testify that this is the Son of God." John 1:34 The Point of Jesus's Love is bringing us to a Relationship in Love with God again

  • Hello friend, I have to say that thought is Plagianism and it is incorrect because it is written in the Bible, " This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." Romans 3:22-24 we have all come short of the perfection of God. But that alone is not the point of Jesus salvation, He is our redeemer

  • Thank you so much Lyssa you are so kind and sweet :D
