If he played this piece perhaps 7% slower, that would be enough to bring it into a good tempo and still retain the bouncy, joyful feeling he's aiming for. In addition, it would allow him to make his performance totally technically flawless.
@CembaloMeister, fast and accurate does not mean good. If you play something TOO fast, you ruin it. If you play it too fast, you don't let the music speak. However, the organist here does have very nice expressivity...but it's still too fast. He needs to not rush and slow it down a bit, then it will be really good. As it is now, it's a performance with a serious flaw but with alot of potential for improvement.
All of you who complain about the tempo should shut up! You are all jealous you can't play it this quick. This fugue is modeled after a French "gigue" which is about this fast. Most people play this fugue far too slow to be historically accurate. In addition, there are only 1 or 2 blunders in the music, which is not a result of the fast tempo. It's fast AND accurate.

I like the trumpet sound on the bottom pedals though. It's a nice change of pace. People ought to experiment more with the colors organs can get.
