Konyali/ Konialis No 2 Greek Turkish shared musics & song

This is a continuation of Part 1 of the compilation of the famous Turkish Anatolian tune Konyali. This part includes a slightly different melody sung by the great Hafiz Burhan Bey, which was recorded in Greek as Neos Konialis (New Konyali) sung by Rita Abatzi. Among the traditional melody versions in Turkish, recordings are included by the Sephardic Jew Louis Matalon, more village folk style by Ahmet Turgut, and an instrumental version by the famous Erkose Brothers orchestra. A Greek version which reads as a pean to food, attributed to the Izmir born Dimitris Manisalis is also included

@merkomountain its because of people like you the world is the way it is. Just because i choose to be a philanthropist doesn't mean I forgot what the Turks have done. Most Turks had nothing to do with the deporting of my father and his family, it was all motivated by politics. My family had many Turkish friends in Istanbul, and they treated them a lot better than they way Greeks in Athens welcomed them as Turks. I heard stories first hand from my family, so don't make assumptions from text books

Your father and your people as well as the Armenians and the Jews were forced to leave their homeland and live as refugees in strange lands...those who do not their history are doomed to repeat it....I agree with you that the music is similar..so what you are going to party together??!!We are brothers with the Turks??!Go live in Turkey and let us know in a few years how you come out of that experience.
