@coogo2 Ginger Baker was very into African music so it's no surprise that he'd be out there too. His post Cream / Blind Faith band Ginger Baker's Airforce had a lot of African-tribal beats.

According to wikipedia he took part in album's recording,and did additional percussion and drumming.wow,never knew that:)

After asking EMI to send him a listing of all their international recording studios, Paul happened upon Lagos in Nigeria and was instantly taken with the idea of recording in Africa. What a great choice and great album...!! "Band on the Run"is the top selling British album of 1974.
