The problem with saying that the fda is not run by politicians is that you need to look at who is appointed leaders of monsanto who have put out gmo foods that kill us as well so who is looking out for our best interest these guys with the fda i think not !!!

The FDA (Food and Drug Adminstration) was responsible for approving Gardasil, and it is an appointed body. It is not run by politicians. YOU may have put two and two together, but you got SIX, honey. It doesn't add up.

@MyrtleMessmer Well, you have to put two and two together. Politicians are not incorruptible and Pharmaceutical giants have buying power. Through bribes and threats in whatever form they have the ability to control certain officials and influence policies. I'm not saying this has happened in this instance. I'm just stating that it is possible.

@endofscene I never said congresspeople and government officials are incorruptible. I don't believe it, so I wouldn't say it. My question for you, which you evaded, was how does the government make money off the sale of Gardasil? Can you answer that? Apparently not.

@MyrtleMessmer The US Government and Congress is heavily and easily influenced by big corporations including pharmaceutical ones. This is because humans are fallible and corruptible and easily bought and pressured.
As Marianne Napoli kept asking Vallerie Huddle: are law-makers impervious to accepting money to influence their decisions?
If you believe that congressmen and government officials are incorruptible then I think you are naive and idealistic.

@MyrtleMessmer selling it, it hurting/ killing people, and patients coming back for other pills they dont need to get rid of those side effects.
