@every drummer who likes the free floating series,
Buy the pearl 14" x 3,5" free floating copper snare. One word. wait, two words: MIND BLOWING!!
-
sounds like shit

Put a Falams II on this Free Floating beauty and the fun begins, a la old Helmet snare sound :D (I know, I know, John used a Tama brass snare) I used to own one of these and regret now that I tossed it :(
-
aha, i've had this snare sitting in my room for over a year and havent touched it, just played it tonight, it is definetly gonna be my main snare soon :)
-
how many strands is your strainer? is it a 20?

Thats a good snare. I have one as well. I dont tune it near as high as you do but I like having the option. If you decide to back it down a bit, try the CS reverse dot. Sounds great at medium tension. The ambassador is the best for higher tension tuning

i bought this same snare for no joke 50 bucks and still sounds great
-
@ldubdaman I paid 200€ for a used maple one, same size.

Hey mate, the snare sounds great. Do you know how much something like that is worth if you don't mind me asking?
