@mvpbaseball hey man if u want the real deal, get into Charles Poliquin. He's trained Olympic medalists in 19 sports. There are 47 kinds of muscle fibers, by the way, just so you know there is a lot more to the story.
@GrixxlyStrength simple physics. it's called LIFTING weights, not making an arm pivot about a certain point. just hold the weight and do the same thing. show this to any physics major at your local university for further explanation. If you won't believe it boils down to physics, fine, find someone well versed in biomechanics (which is just applied physics). You're not lifting the same amount of weight if it's on a machine, end of story.
So the machine is the only thing that is letting them squat 250-300lbs with one leg? Then they are not really squatting that much with one leg. Put them under a read free weight barbell and they would get crushed.
Y are they pussies thats a great machine to use for hip explosion and strength! Yur prolly the guy in the gym the cares how the look in the gym all dressed up with the fresh hairkut and AXE bodyspray u can smell across the fuckin gym! LOL! I hate u pretty lil bitches!
I have a question for you myferretonli? Can you squat 250-300 lbs on ONE LEG? I can, and I have approx. 10 clients of my 90 person clientele base that can. Why? The Cormax squat machine. It's diversity allows fitness enthusiasts to SAFELY squat weights unknown to the training community. Free weights work great too and I believe in them, however, Cormax machines don't need a spotter, utilize high-tech electronics that measure velocity of each lift, count reps, and measure HR. SPORTS SPECIFICITY!
My colllege had one of prototypes for the olympic lifting station. It made a nice coat rack.
Giving machines to colleges and pro programs for free is nothing new. My guess is that cormax is actually PAYING to have these machines put in their gym so they can tell everyone that the machine is used by pro teams.
