Here I demonstrate using the target stick to achieve a Front and Left/Right Finish. Please excuse Winnie's crooked Fronts and Heel Sits :)

  • I'm curious as to the "time elapsed" ...like..how many training sessions...how long etc. Also..what are you using as your target stick?

  • Hello, for my target stick I just used a wooden stick painted with yellow on the end. You can use anything, really, as long as the dog has something blue or yellow (they see those colors best) at the end.

For the training sessions, it's generally recommended to keep them short and sweet (about 5-10 min?) in order to keep the dog motivated. The number of training sessions depends on how quickly your dog picks up the material.
