Ellen Miriam Hopkins (October 18, 1902 October 9, 1972) was an American actress known for her versatility in a wide variety of roles.

She was born in Savannah, Georgia and raised in Bainbridge, a town in the state's southwest near the Alabama border. She attended a finishing school in Vermont and later Syracuse University in New York. - Wikipedia

Miriam Hopkins is being honored at the TCM Festival April 22 through April 25 in Hollywood. A newly struck print of her controversial film The Story of Temple Drake is one of the featured films selected! Glad to see this long neglected film has been restored and one of the films selected by TCM for their Festival. A definite honor for Miriam Hopkins!
