A psychedelic masterpiece with a great ethno touch. I got this album as vinyl 30 years ago and it easily could stand the test of time. If you are thinking of the success of Avatar with all its psychedelic elements and listen songs like "We are all uprooted" and the intro of "Sunny Earth" then it becomes obvious how much advanced Vangelis have been (and also his former band Aphrodite's Child) in producing nice psychedelic tunes with that special mystic touch.
I discovered this album approx. 25 years ago (I still have the vinyl) and not only that it could stand the test of time, if you are thinking about the success of Avatar and you are listening "Sunny Earth" then it becomes quite obvious how much advanced Aphrodite's Child and Vangelis on his first solo album have been. Too sad that Vangelis seems having lost this kind of inspiration. Clearly an underrated masterpiece.

I would have to disagree and go as far as to say his recent work continues to inspire with an even greater sophistication.
