My friend etta cetera & I went to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia when we were en route to Australia in 2000. As a side-trip we visited the fabulous Hindu Temple at the Batu Caves. Thanks to a tour of another Hindu Temple in Kuala Lumpur itself that we'd been given by a friendly tax collector (?!), thoughts of Ghanesh (Ganessa) were going to etta's head. This (essentially) tourist slide show may interest some b/c of its use of what I call "slide-strips". Slide-Strips are to Film-Strips what iMax is to 70mm. In other words, these slide-strips are slide film shot in a 35mm still camera but then projected using a film-strip projector - sometimes w/ the projector &/or transfer camera held sideways. This was originally published as part of a VHS collection of filmstrip transfers. In this compilation, "Batu Caves" was followed by a Brian Dewan filmstrip. Hence the text joke at the end. - February 16, 2010 notes from tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE
