Tenor guitar and fiddle combine to produce a melody know far and wide as "Boil the Cabbage." There's more where that came from: http://reinhartbrothers.bandcamp.com/

  • Sounds kind of Texas style -- I like it! How about doing it again with a more traditional camera angle?

  • It is Texas style, via Colorado. The camera angle was simply for kicks and the practical reason that neither of us playing could hold the camera and no one else was around. Thank you for the comment.

  • You are mistaken. ;-)

This is Boil the cabbage down. It is played in the style of Major Franklin and Dick Barrett. If you're going to play Boil the Cabbage, this is the way to do it. :)

  • Hi JohnnyTsunami. You guys play GREAT! Love your style. But, if I'm not mistaken, I believe the name of this tune is "Durang's Hornpipe". I've never heard Boil the Cabbage played quite like this. Never the less, nice fiddlin and thanks for sharing.

  • Its' Texas style. With a little more practice it can sound great.
