Roads surrounding the dolomites Sella group ridden on an unusual bycicle known for "not being effective on climbs". Besides that, the frame's lenght didn't fit the rider's height, so that you can notice him "bouncing against pedals" to stretch his legs up to complete extension.
Le strade intorno al gruppo del sella percorse su una insolita bicicletta che ha la fama di "non andare bene in salita". Tra l'altro la bici che si vede nel filmato era anche un po' corta per la statura del ciclista che difatti ogni tanto rimbalza

  • do you have some problems with your back or you just like that kind of bike?

  • @instinctdonniedarko both. I like this kind of bike because it is faster, more comfortable, and thus it makes much more marvellous miles. when i rode upright I had always 2 dumb fingers, often suffered back and neck pain

  • Wouldn't a more upright seating position be better for mountain riding? -- >45- degrees?

  • @LibertaerUeberAlles yes maybe. I am trying it just in these days. (last year I laid me down even more, because I liked the speed on flat, always more than 40 km/h, but I suspect this is a bit uneffective on climbs. So now I am trying to ride more upright... (I have a test climb to do. Once I'll get used to the new position I will do it measuring the time)

  • traccion frontal

  • МОЛОДЕЦ ! Хороший ролик и байк, красивые места, мне очень понравилось, только надо было еще сюда музыку, чтоб не слушать как трещотка шумит и порыв ветра и учащенное дыхание. А в остальном все очень хорошо.

  • @treeefrogUK ... and smaller (circumference) front wheel = increased rolling resistance. This machine is designed for performance. And it beats road bicycles when going uphill. There is a reason for using both (front/ rear) 700 cc wheels.

  • @wheelnutt:

That sounds like 'wheel flop' caused by too much rake and/or too much trail (the distance between the line extended through the steering axis to intersect the ground and the point on the ground vertically below the front axle.) As the wheel goes slightly to one side, the C of G of the steering rapidly pulls it further over. A smaller front wheel and less rake are likely to be most effective in correcting this.

  • Oh and about UK dealers, I don't know about Slyways specifically but it'd be worth giving Kevin at D-Tek ( Cambridgeshire ) a call, he has loads of stuff in stock and has endless knowledge about all things bent. Plus he's a top bloke and quite a character!
