Motoring journalist, Alex Shapiro, reviews the Smart ForTwo around Los Angeles. How does it stand up to freeways? How do people react? We have some laughs and an awesome soundtrack as we film amid 2008's fuel crisis. Interviews and big trucks

Please let me know what you think! I'm just one guy doing this for fun!

Music by Golden Earing, Luetzenkirchen, David Bowie, DJ Visage, Eric Sierra, Dizzee Rascal and Calvin Harris, Ironik, Porcupine, Bloodhoung Gang and Oomph

  • you guys know basic c5 corvettes get 35 on the highway right...

  • Probably not unless you drive it like it's a ForTwo tho

  • You seem to be seeing the point in the smart in the beginning, but you just F***** it up in part 2.

    Almost a good review...

    I'm ready and I don't care who's not...

  • 'Almost a good review' until I disagree with you..?

  • well, alex, you could learn how to drive. a smart will go 0-60mph in under 13 seconds. it has an "automated" maunaul tranny, clutch, no torque converter. so if you put it in manual and stand on it, then nudge the shifter at 6000 rpms, you'll go quite fast.

the smart is a chick magnet near chicago, LA is populated by fags anyways, isn't it? i've handed out a stack of smart business cards in the last 10 months and now there's a 2 year wait for a smart. would anyone wait 2 years for a honda? hmm

  • i like how learning how to drive entrails learning how to drive very, very slowly on 92 octane. Like how a tricycle's harder to learn to ride than a bike.

  • the fifth element, thought I wan the only one with the soundtrack. Lol

  • when you were beside the hummer he was laughing at you. super strong steal? /watch?v=ju6t-yyoU8s

  • @hippyraverocker smart cars may fare ok in crashes against walls because they have so little mass the force is much less than that of a suv or truck. However, smart cars sit so low they easily go underneath semi trailers decapitating the passengers. Smart cars also have very small space between the driver and the road (no motor no trunk). I'll take an suv or truck any day of the week

  • have you ever tried to accelerate in a smart car or any car with less than 6 cylinders?

  • this guy is a complete tard

  • Wow, how retarded can one person be.

Firstly, when gas hits $12/Gallon like it is in the UK and other countries, let me see you justify an SUV then.

Also, parts for the smart or any small car are cheaper, Hell the smart even has pop-on/off panels...dead cheap.

And crash wise, it's just as safe if not safer as you need an IQ above 40 to see the sense of one.

The Diesel one does 100MPG for crying out loud, when GAS gets pricy who the hell wants something that does 15MPG???

    Other than a tard!

  • who cares about the gas price if you got in a crash. if your in the RAM and you crash the medical bill would be smaller and suv's are cheaper to fix and maintain

  • hahahaha @ 4:08 :)

  • You must use personal attacks against us?

No, you piss us off because you don't use accurate information nor any logic. How could the smart possibly be slow when it is just as fast as a Civic Hybrid and all of the other land barge SUVs heavily rolling down the pavement?
