Using real footage and sounds from a working science lab, the Inside Knowledge team have reconstructed the White Stripes song Seven Nation Army from scratch.

Bass Guitar: Main sensor output cable
Bass Drum: Blast Rig
Toms: Hammer & Storm Case
Hi-Hat: Oil Spray
Cymbal: Blast Plate
'Vocals': Laces to contain dummy leg during blast
'Guitar': Accelerometer cable & Fastening Strings

    Actually, Blast are 55% funded by charities, and this video didn't cost anyone in the research group time or money. It was shot over the course of an afternoon where they carried out 3 high-impact tests. We wrote a dedicated post about their funding model, it is unique among research groups in the UK, and you're welcome to check it out by going through the blog's archive.

    I want to say that this is a result of someone that has WAY to much free time on their hands...

    but there is a fine line between a waste of time and great usage of time...

    This video is clearly a great usage of time.
