Camp HEAL is a yearly youth camp held in Ukraine. The main goal of this camp is to help spread accurate messages about HIV/AIDS through the development of a peer education program. The participants who attend this camp will also be trained on: anti-human trafficking, healthy lifestyles, peer pressure, and leadership, in addition to HIV/AIDS. It was originally organized by US Peace Corps volunteers. It is taught by Ukrainian and American volunteers. We held it in Svyatogorsk (Slavnyagorsk), Donetska oblast. Beautiful area with a historic monastery built into the cliff above the river at the edge of the town.
