@Zombie00Goddess i don't know that i buy in to "mainstream" not accepting a good movie be cause it was written by a women. certainly women should have no problems with it, and women make up half the people in the world. and i don't think publishing companies would refuse to publish a book written by a woman just be cause it wasn't "fluffy" enough. i think women simply think differently from men and just don't write such things be cause of that alone. haven't heard of siouxsie...

@qwyzl I don't think it's that a woman couldn't think up something just as sick & twisted as well as a man,but do you think "mainstream" society would accept such a thing coming from a woman?No studio would invest in it,critics would pan it,audiences wouldn't believe a female could produce such a thing.Publishing companies would say "honey you'd best stick to writing about sparkly vampires" etc.As for ONE non-sappy song written by a woman...Siouxsie writes all her own dark-themed songs.

@Zombie00Goddess all i'm saying is men & women think differently. you name me 1 - ONE - movie of this nature conceived, directed & produced by a woman. same with women comics. they're just not as funny as male comics. & i'm female my self. men, in my opinion, are better at comedy & song writing. name me 1 comic song, or ONE song by a woman that has NOTHING 2 do with love, broken hearts or some other sappy thing. name me a comic song done by a woman about a car, 4 example. men write such songs.

Loved it. Very dark, awesome gore effects, and it left the possibility open for a sequel, though I doubt there was one or will ever be one...
