My little guy does the same thing! He paces back and forth, and seems to be looking for a place to hide his chew. I think maybe the treat is so delicious and long lasting, that his instinct is to squirrel it away for a rainy day! He never does anything like this!! He hid it in his crate for a while, but then kept pacing back and forth... Retrieve, hide, pace. It takes about 10 minutes of this silliness before he can settle down for a good chew.
