This pot stand was my contribution to the project that NCHiker1970(Drak) and I were working on together. Drak came up with an incredible design with the crumb catcher stove, and I found that if you added peg board pliers holders to the crumb catcher, you could make a pot stand that would hold 12 and 24 ounce Heineken Pots, and large diameter metal pots as well.

To see the Crumb Catcher All In One Stove, please visit NCHiker1970's YouTube page. While you're there don't forget to subscribe. Drak has some incredible stove designs, and really great How To videos.

  • I love your idea, what is that white rope around the can. Is it there so fingers wont get burned?

  • @mrfadedjeans It's nice to hear you like the idea. The rope is actually fiberglass wick, and yes it's so you can pick up the pot without burning your fingers.

  • what song is this?

  • @ultralighthiker This song came from the audio swap feature of Youtube and unfortunately I can't remember the title or the artist.

  • great design!!...congrats!...how do you like the tealight stoves. i have been playing with them in different configurations with fair success ..

    2112?...maybe a fellow RUSH fan??...lol...take care..thanks ..

  • In all honesty I'm not a big fan of tealight stoves. Main reason for this is based on cooking times and amount of fuel needed to maintain a full 5-6 minute burn time with the tealight stove. I actually made this video to highlight the versatility of the "Stand Alone" Pot Stand which is a big part of what is now my All-In-One Penny Stove.

As for your question about 2112, check out my video called "Kayaking the Rancocas - North Branch" and you tell me. Rock on Bro!

  • Great Job On The Build You Guys!

  • See all that work and all we needed was a tealight stove to make it work! Not a bad Idea at all! It sure brings down the weight! The peg board idea was perfect!

  • Nice pot stand! Everywhere i here from these crumb catchers. got to get myself one too.

  • awesome, thanks for the reply! great video

  • We use 1/16 inch fiberglass lamp wick. It is fire retardant and keeps cool enough that you can pick it up right off of the stove without a pot holder. Although, I would recommend 1/8 inch fiberglass lamp wick, as it blocks heat more effectively than the 1/16 inch. As always, be careful when removing a hot Heiny Pot without a pot holder, as you could get severly burned.

  • what kind of insulation do you have wrapped around the heiny-pot?
