Honda CD 200, 1981, 6 Volt electrics, dragged from the shed where it's been since I got an MZ 250 back in autumn 2007.
I used to ride this 50 miles a day, 5 days a week! Top speed on level road with no headwind was up to 83mph, more likely to see 75mph though!

  • Hi, I sold it for £220.

  • For sale, on Ebay! Easy bike to ride: low seat, low centre of gravity (means good roadholding). Rear suspension bouncy. Front drum brake OK, not like modern disc. Practical? Six volt electrics reliable (spray WD-40 on connectors), headlamp feeble on unlit roads. Engine reliable if oil change 1,000 miles. Setting tappets fiddly! Points ignition stays adjusted. Rust: front & rear mudguards (look closely at mine!) & seatbase. Spares? David Silver? -Rider needs to be resourceful in these matters!!

  • Hi There. How much did your bike sell for in the end? Because I am looking to buy one from a local dealer and wish to do some research before putting an offer in.

  • nice bike man! whats it like to ride? im thinking about buying my first bike and have seen one of these identical to this near me for sale. not sure though how reliable they are and how practical it would be compared to something more modern. any info would be appreciated, thanks
