Sri Lanka Protest Mob in London Attacking Citzens May 18, 2009

These sri lankan protesters were protesting an end to the Tamili rebellion (after 20+ years of causing civil unrest in that country the Tamili Lions are almost crushed which the Tamils obviously dont like). They want the UK and/or the UN to prolong the sri lankan fighting because their side is losing. Or they want someone to just give the losers the country I'm not entirely sure. Apparently from the pamphlet the protesters gave us (apparently they are a well funded and organized group) there is a large group of British Tamils (my guess is they got refugee status because their side is losing the war) and they make claims of genecide (their side losing the war). They were staying within a fenced area on May 17 but the next day they burst out of the park the British goverment was letting them use for their protest and began attacking citizens and pushing the police. Notice the guy on the motorcycle that got blocked by the protesters at a stop light and they started hitting him and kicking his bike. If one protester hadnt pulled another back they would have thrown him off. The apparently weak bellied London police started forming a human link to try and close them in, but they tore apart the fencing in the park and began shoving it at the police lines and managed to tear up most of the fencing and push the police back and sit in the roads shutting many roads down on their rampage while shouting things not in english (or maybe with just too much accent for me to understand). I was right there when the protesters began their rioting and I have some other videos, but I'm a bad filmer while trying to watch so I'm not sure how many I want to post due to it mostly being their heads and the police standing around like fools while they and their city get treated like crap. You can hear some of my commentary in the videos. Sorry for spelling mistakes in this description.

I too was in London today and have similar feeling.. I have sympathy for them but blocking roads and attacking people is no way justified.. and the person who shot this was shouting WTF to them.. but be careful u do it next time.. coz those protesters lost their kith & kin and would do anything.. police will intervene, but they can do some damage..

Also police shud find a solution to sort this.. tomorrow they may try to hurt common people as way protest..

amen, and yea i got worked up and shouted some profanities lol the police just locked arms while they rioters destroyed the metal fencing and hit them with it so I doubt the police will do anything
