I almost went with that same firebird but in the end traded in a Gibson Explorer look-a-like for a Epiphone Wilshire. My first real good electric guitar is a Ibanez AS-73 artcore semi-hollow and it's beast. It looks real similar to that Dot.

For the past 3 to 4 years epiphone has been making top professional quality guitars. There only down fall there Way underpriced.
