The Quintal family 1950s and 60s

Standard 8mm and Super 8 films converted via DV camera.

Nelson and Bertha Quintal raised 15 children in Lawrence, Massachusetts, during the Great Depression and WWII eras. Several of their children served in the US Navy and Army during WWII and the Korean War.

All of their children were successful members of the Greatest Generation, working in academia, real estate, farming, corporate management, skilled trades, entrepreneurial ventures, and homemaking.

Nelson Quintal (after Bertha suffered a stroke): "Last night I gave her up to God. This morning I took her back."
