It would be discrimination by the city's part if they did that. also it was a private vote so try to go find all the people who voted no. lastly its not costing the city any money! in 1999 when the scheduling system came in atu 279 accepted a 2% DECREASE in wages to cover the scheduling. It also helps to get the moral higher for the employees.

Ah, I spelled break wrong. Whatever. Um, I respect only the ones who said yes. The people that said yes shouldn't get laid off obviously and deserve a lot more than the ones who said no. In fact, I think the ones who said yes, should be aloud to do their jobs right now, and the ones that said NO, deserve to have a tough time, IMO.

It's hard to say if some members are looking at the Strike as a break. But they do have break from their regular paycheque. Remember, now they are on strike pay and for some families it could be coming on tough times.
The city says once the strike is over some 500 workers will need to be laid off until all the buses are running full steam.

I believe in the right to strike but... I think the OC Transpo people are enjoying their brake. Lazy Bastards. I don't and never will take a Bus again.
