Finding diamonds in Minecraft.

I set out to find diamonds like I often do when I first start a "Minecraft playing session" and this is the video of it.
I have sped up half the video in parts that are redundant or relatively uninteresting I think.
Hope you pick up the gist of how I find diamonds in this video.
Organization + persistance = diamonds.
Watch out for lava... understatement... An hour after I made this video I had mined 4 more diamonds and as I was trying to circumnavigate lava in my mining I hit an unexpected different source of lava and died... my diamonds were all lost in the lava...
