Kwasny Weekend isn't always a happy time of year!

This tiny girl gets royally pwned by Fredericton's finest when she insists that they give her all of their badge numbers before they arrest her boyfriend (a legal right, mind you). When they were about to leave without giving her their badge numbers, she became even louder about her right to have their numbers, so 6 police officers pushed her down and roughed her up pretty badly as she pleaded with them to stop hurting her.

I was there and the girl was the problem along with her friends who tackled the police officers...the police officers here did a good job and did it right.....

bullshit. she was there alone with her boyfriend. i was walking right behind them, as well as 5 or 6 other concerned people. her boyfriend was fucking around and did something drunk and stupid, in which he deserved to be taken aside by these pigs. However, yelling at a girl to put her hands behind her head when there is so much weight on her back that she pleads with them that she cant move her arms... that's fucked up.

You can keep living in this dreamlike state where the cops are here to protect and serve. Meanwhile, the rest of us who get ID'd and detained for 30min because you look like someone they saw pushing over a garbage can will know better. How can you rely on a stranger to protect and serve when they are just as flawed as every other mindless, frightened human being on this earth?!

The funny thing here is how quick you would be to call the police if you needed them, if your out in the night life and get detained for 30 min. who cares.. stay home.

What was she going to do with their badge numbers before they arrest her? They tell her to get down and she doesn't so why is it such a surprise that they put her down and arrest her.

Even with only the partial story it looks to me that she was the problem, not the cops. What was she doing before? Maybe she should have just listened to them from the start.
