This is a hydro-power generation experiment that was designed to be an interactive in a museum exhibition. The exhibition, entitled "Get to Work! How Industry Shaped Peterborough," explores the industrial history of Peterborough, Ontario over the last 130 years. The hydro interactive is meant to demonstrate how the flow of the Otonabee River gave spark to an industrial revolution, bringing such companies as General Electric and Quaker Oats to the small Ontario town. This exhibit was proudly developed by the Fleming College Museum Management and Curatorship Program in partnership with the Peterborough Museum & Archives. The exhibition runs until June 21, 2009.
