To obey is better than sacrifice. All religion is man's attempt to know God. But Christianity and the relationship of Jesus is God's attempt to know man. You can not DO anything to get salvation. But once you know Jesus, you will WANT to serve God and obey His commandments. That is the difference of all religions between Christianity that all fail to realize. Come to the cross all, there is room at the foot of Jesus.

I wish there was a way to excomminicate myself from the Catholic church. I denounce it and condemn all religions. Religion is not necessary to have reverence for Christ, love of God and eternal happiness in the afterlife.

First of all, the Roman Catholic Church, and the individuals back in those days should've understand that God does not want money or fancy churches in order for Him to love them, for his Son, back in his time, stood, and preached on a rock (so why do they need these fancy churches?)... and second, money does not give God glory. The only thing that gives God glory and happiness is just by giving yourself up to Him and having that relationship with Him. Thats all what God wants from us!!
