Hey Jude (The Frost Programme) version 2

The Beatles singing Hey Jude in 1968 in England. They filmed 2 takes of them singing with this live audience on the Frost Programme and this is the lesser seen version. If anyone has any info on where to get a copy of this with much higher quality video and audio please send me a message.

By the way I recently found out there were actually 3 filmed recordings of this, the 3rd one is similar to this one but not as good

This was the version that was used in The Compleat Beatles (yes, they spelled complete that way) made back in 1982. A lousy documentary, the production was terrible and disjointed.

This take shows the audience sort of dazed and disinterested, kinda like "Gee, we've done this before". They did. This is take 2. The first take is much better in my opinion.

@mwredit This version is my personal favorite, almost even more then the official studio recording. Specifically because of Paul McCartney's improvisational shout-out singing at - 4:21, 4:39, 5:17, 5:23, 5:26. What he does at those moments only exists in this recording and is really really good stuff that I wish was on the official studio track. Thats also why I want a higher quality recording of this track. Who do I have to go to get get one, EMI?

why does Paul have green eyes when the pre 67 Paul has brown eys and is published as having brown eyes? Did the real Paul really die and was he repleced?

If there are two Pauls they both sound great. I hope the debate can continue and maybe the mystery can be solved.

@danahsutton101 It's very possible to replace someone if the double has enough practice and some minor cosmetic surgery. I've never been certain about it but never listen to the hardcore fans who think it's absolutely impossible to replace Paul. The differences are pretty obvious at times but they completely ignore it and insult you for bringing up the thing, so it's better to just not mention. I think it's either that Paul died and was replaced or had doubles which is common among celebrities.
