@RDArtist81 I agree with @xyaqua and I'm not exaggerating. Lennon & McCartney wrote great, globally accessible songs but were also promoted worldwide, at a very opportune time in music entertainment history. The fact that I believed for 20 years that XTC were no more is a measure of their lack of exposure (desired? Maybe. Artistically uncompromising? Definitely).

XTC deserve more respect from the media and new bands

Andy partridge is as gifted and talented as Paul mcCartney and John Lennon combined, but with better taste than both.
And talk about staying power, i was listening to english settlement when i was in the army in the early 80's.
Drums and wire is their best early album.
