It's horrifying and i'm so worried that she will have another, it's not nice seeing someone you loveso much go through that and being helpless to do anything. I cannot pinpoint anything that would have triggered my Shiba's 'episode' we did nothing out of the ordinary. I did notice she was a bit depressed during the day though but did not expect anything like this. I'm glad your Shiba is on the mend and hope that she continues to be well! Thanks again i will keep you in mind should another occur!

My Shiba had a very similar seizure last night for the first time and i have to say i did not handle the situation nearly as calmly as you did. I was frantic with worry as to what was happening. Thank you for posting this i am sure if other Shiba owners encounter the same situation they will be better equipped to handle to situation. Have you any idea what causes the seizure? My vet has said there is not a lot that can be done just to calm them and let it pass. Is this your experience?

@sketchmeister2 The first time my shiba had a seizure it was one of the most severe. I was terrified, I thought she was dying in front of me. I had given her some cheap flea meds that night "Sentry Pro XFC" and I strongly suspect this is what triggered it. Since then she has had 5 or so milder episodes like this one I caught on camera. The vets couldn't find anything wrong with her. She hasn't had one since this video luckily. I just try to keep her calm when it happens. She's fine after.
