Yes, barefoot running will help you heal. Michael Sandler, best-selling author of "Barefoot Running: How to Run Light & Free" shows us you don't have to be biomechanically perfect to go bare. After a near death accident in 2006 left Michael with a 1 inch leg length discrepancy, titanium femur & hip and 10 knee operations, the only way Michael was able to find his way back to health was by spending time barefoot. Today he can run 10-20 miles barefoot and pain free. Inspire others. Pass it on! www.RunBare.com
It's funny that he is talking about barefoot running standing in front of a bunch of running shoes. That is awesome that he was able to recover from such an accident.

You're an inspiration dude, I'm just starting out with barefoot running -- gonna take my time with it and give my body time to adapt, hoping I can finally enjoy regular running without my knee pain rearing its ugly face

Very motivating. Love the book, I refer to it often. Been running bare since July 2011.

A tremendous story, Michael. I, too, was told by two different doctors that I would never be able to run again because of some injuries. Today, I'm happy to say that I run for as long and as often as I'd like - almost always barefoot.
