Thank You, Lord

Me singing "Thank You, Lord" during the church service on August 12, 2007.

** I apologize to those of you who are asking for the sheet music. The copy I was singing from was given to a friend. I'm sure you can find it in a religious songbook -- or, try looking online at sheet music sites. I hope that helps.

Thank you Lord for the trials that come my way,
In that way I can grow each day as I let You lead.
And thank You, Lord, for the patience those trials bring,
In that process of growing I can learn to care.
But it goes against the way I am, to put my human nature down,
And let the Spirit take control of all I do.
For when those trials come, my human nature shouts the things to do; And God's soft prompting can be easily ignored.
I thank You Lord with each trial I feel inside,
That You're there to help lead and guide me away from wrong.
'Cause You promised Lord that with every testing, that Your way of escaping is easier to bear.

This song is in a piano book entitled "100 Low Voice Favorites Volume 3," compiled by David Culross. Book copyright is 1991by Benson Music Group (Singspiration). The book also contains chords. The lyrics were written by Dan Burgess, copyright 1973. (Check eBay for the book, perhaps?) There's another YouTube video posted by mjvp121, which contains the lyrics.

I dont think they make the music to this song anymore. My music teacher had me sing it for recital and we had to find an old copy
