I never watched Journey to Ernie, so I don't know how popular it was. I remember the classic Sesame Street in the early to late 90s.

@nellie2581 Yes, it's always been him and it still is most of the time, but in the Journey to Ernie parts, and a few others I think, it's his understudy Matt Vogel who does Big Bird. He is being trained to be his substitute once he retires or dies. I read it somewhere, but you can also notice if you pay attention (Vogel's voice is a bit lower).

It's a shame that Journey to Ernie wasn't very popular, I enjoyed it myself. The beach segment was one of my favorites... makes me think of a special beach edition of Uno I got around the time, lol.
