Hanzo is still one of the funniest guys I know. He is also one of the most skilled general contractors I have met. This video picks up from episode one and continues to follow the young Canadian contractor and his family, this time for a whole day on an actual job site renovating a basement in Wellend Ontario for his clients. Hanzo explains the proper way to do a basement floor to prevent mold and cold, does a freestyle construction rap, visits with his engineer to get stamped drawings, takes out tile in the laundry room using a combi-hammer, has his electrician explain the best way to frame a basement and do pot-lights with a laser level, has his kids talk about tools, visits the building department at the local city hall to book an inspection, has his wife Reebs provide design and layout tips, visits Rona the building supply store to pick up material, and has his plumber install a drain in the laundry room, rough in some plumbing and explain how a p-trap works and how to do plastic welding.
