You've heard of E=mc²... but you probably haven't heard the whole story.

LMFAO I was posting a lot of antitheist stuff on the page for the video "Crash Course in Presuppositional Apologetics: Self Refuting Worldviews" and was getting a ton of dislikes on my comments (as was the idiotic theist I was arguing with).

So I posted the contents of this video onto that page, came back later, and found a ton of dislikes on the comment. Says a lot about how easily biased and intentionally closed minded so many people are.

Wrong. The momentum of a massless particle is calculated by dividing Planck's Constant by the wavelength of the particle.

Hmm, that may be possible, I was thinking distinctly of the visible pro-universe (if I may coin a term...). I am not so well versed on the subject of antimatter.

No, the negative value is unphysical. This is a case where the purely mathematical solution is correct, but doesn't mean anything, and we therefore discard the negative solution when we want to describe something in the real world.

does this mean that the energy can be negative?

    as E=+ or - sqrt((mc2)2+(pc)2))???????????

not if it's moving at the speed of light and you use the formula for the relativistic momentum. p = m * v / sqrt ( 1 - v²/c² )

This results in 0/0 which is mathematically undefined, i.e. a massless particle at the speed of light (a photon) can have any momentum, which is solely defined by the amount of energy it contains.

WAIT - if e = pc if a object has no mass, that means it has no momentum.
