I'm a blackman but I must say that it is tough to condemn most cab drivers for refusing to take black people. If I was a cab driver I must say that in some situations I would be very hesitant to take a fellow black passenger. Now it does not mean that all black people are bad it's just that the few that are end up ruining it for everydoby else. It's just common sense.

@gynecolog1st You are correct. Even black cabbies have the perception that black males are a threat. Point is that there is still a double standard and it is wrong.
We are inundated every day with images of black males being thugs and bad guys and though there is a large criminal element of black males in the big cities many white crimes are given far less attention.
If a person is reasonably dressed and seems non threatening a cab driver should at least pick them up.

@gynecolog1st Living white guys can be dangerous as much as black guys.
The reality as a white man looking at the situation is that the stereotypes of black men being gangsters and dangerous to cab drivers have made it nearly impossible for blacks to hail a cab.
